Chloropidae Rondani, 1856

The Chloropidae is a family of flies (commonly known as grass- or frit flies) rich in species (about 3000 described worldwide; see Bezzi, 1912; Nartshuk, 2011). The number of species and the great biological diversity make this a family of ecological importance.
